Penguin Academy’s new program, CodePRO, continues to advance the development of programming and technology skills. Participants must overcome various challenges to progress, applying technical knowledge through a methodology that emphasizes learning by doing.
More than 50 people are currently enrolled in this 8-month program, preparing for their first job in the tech industry. The academy is an unlimited space for innovation, where participants can come to code every day in an open-door 24/7 format. The facility is equipped with recreational areas, internet access, computers, and countless tools to spark creativity.
Participants in CodePRO face programming challenges every two weeks, applying and acquiring new skills to solve the problems presented, creating a continuous learning cycle. Additionally, workshops are held to provide a wide range of knowledge in technology and innovation.
According to Delia Garcete, CEO of Penguin Academy, the program also features a Talent Development team focused on enhancing the social skills future developers need.
"We foster both technical and soft skills in a collaborative, trusting, and teamwork-oriented environment. Our goal is that, beyond having strong programming knowledge, participants become exceptional people who are fantastic to work with," she added.
Peer-to-Peer Collaboration
In CodePRO, peer-to-peer collaboration is key, bringing together individuals with different levels of knowledge in a supportive environment. "Those with more programming expertise voluntarily lead workshops, teaching their peers something new. It excites us to see how participants learn independently and share their discoveries as a team," added the CEO.
Throughout the program, participants have the opportunity to explore different types of technologies and programming languages to solve the problems presented, aiming to mirror real-world job scenarios as closely as possible. The dynamic implemented at Penguin House 2.0 facilitates learning from beginner to advanced levels.
Designed by Penguin Academy, the program seeks to become a talent incubator for the tech sector, focusing on training participants in comprehensive skills to make their entry into the workforce smoother. Its primary goal is to help people reach their full potential and create a community of talented young individuals who can share and multiply their knowledge in their surroundings.
